The
Professional Engineering Licensure Committee shall consist
of at least ten currently licensed P.E. members. The committee
shall oversee and provide support for the development of professional
engineering examinations in naval architecture and marine
engineering (formerly ship design engineering), and ocean/offshore
engineering if and when appropriate, for the National Council
of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). The Society
shall designate a liaison representative to the NCEES Examination
for Professional Engineers (EPE) Committee who shall become
an ex-officio member of the committee. The committee shall
maintain liaison with the Standing Committees on Education,
Publications and Electronic Media, have broad representation
of the Society’s technical membership and submit reports
to the Executive Committee and Council as appropriate. |
