WHO: Local SNAME Sections and ASNE Chapters:

SNAME and ASNE were asked to participate in this program because together we reach thousand of members. Our members recognize the importance of securing the future of our profession through educating young people about careers in naval architecture, marine engineering, naval engineering, and ocean engineering.


WHAT:


HOW: Your job as a local section is to visit your local school districts and get this information into their hands.

  • Young people in your neighborhood
  • Science Classes at your local high school
  • Local Events
WHY: To create awareness in the potential career opportunities in the fields of Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Naval Engineering, and Ocean Engineering, which will secure the future of these professions.


Project Outreach will not work without the support of the SNAME Sections, so you are encouraged to begin to distribute these materials as soon as possible, and to encourage other members to get involved.
